Free Internet Access

We currently have a fast ADSL (broadband) Internet connection, which is available FREE of charge. Feel free to drop in any time, open Monday to Thursday between 9:30am to 4.30pm. Friday's are 9:30am till 12:30pm.

The access point is also available to book for a small fee to local community groups.

The Foundation provides a Technical team to deliver the technology to be able to fulfil the various needs of the learner. Examples include video and sound editing, creating documents using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) Making posters using MS Publisher, sending, receiving emails and surfing the Internet using Internet Explorer.

Wireless Outreach Network (WON)

This project aims to help individuals and groups of all backgrounds to learn, update and enhance their IT skills and knowledge.

The National Institute for Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) funded the Wireless Outreach Network (WON) project in March 2003. The aim of the initiative is to help organisations in widening participation in learning. Organisations participating or ones that have participated include the Winrose Project, Osmondthorpe Resource Centre, Octavia House, Instep, Methodist Church, 59 Club and Belle Isle Family Centre.

The WON is looking to take on more groups from different organisations as it heads in to it's second year.
